Banana Translation: Airi's Memories of MM

This was one of the clip from Hello 10th Party.
Here, Airi was given 90 seconds to talk, and she chose the topic: "Free Episode".

Translation:
Airi: This story that I will be telling is a story before I got into Hello Project Kids.
I really love Morning Musume since when I was younger, and I went to their first musical, "Love Century ~ Yume wo Minakerya Hajimaranai~" and amazingly I was sitting in the middle of the very first row!
Everyone: Wooooow~~!!
Airi: I was soo Happy, and that time I loved to dance, and you know how there's this section for live concert during musical?, I believe they (Morning Musume) were singing "Renai Revolution"
Rika: Yea we did =D
Airi: I was actually dancing with them in front of my seat, like right there X) *points at the front seat*
Crowd: Wooo~
Airi: And so, Yaguchi-san, Ishikawa-san and Yoshizawa-san bent down and waved at me~! *demonstrates*
Crowd: Wooo~
Airi: I was sooooooo Happy! XD but um... do you remember? (to Rika and Yosshi)
Rika: Eeee~~!!!
Yosshi: Aaaa yea! I remember! There was this little girl dancing like this! *jumps*
Everyone: EEEEEEE~~~~!?!? No way! Do you really remember??
Aika: Nah, you don't seem to remember by the way you've said it!
Airi: When I went to the second musical, "Morning Town", Tooru-san was there too saying "Ginko~man~"
Tooru: Yea!
Airi: I really remember that too. I feel very delighted being able to dance and sing on the very same stage with Morning Musume-san and Tooru-san which I (used to) admire right now. (^-^*//
Everyone: Woo~! Wonderful! Splendid!
Tooru: Suzuki Airi-san is the winner!
Crowd: *Laughs*

Banana Review: Berryz Koubou Concert Tour 2009 Spring ~Sono Subete no Ai ni~

YAY! The new Berryz Koubou concert DVD is out!
It came out yesterday! This time it is called:
Berryz Koubou Concert Tour Spring 2009 ~Sono Subete no Ai ni~


Since the set-list came out, I've been waiting for this DVD to see Berryz Koubou perform an acapella version of Gag 100kaibun Aishite Kudasai! Finally!!
As usual, we'll be reviewing the concert below! Enjoy!

1. Dakishimete Dakishimete

Was this the concert where most of the girls had the flu? Some of the girls sounded kind of like they had a blocked nose... But anyway, this was a good opening song and a good performance for the most part.

One of my favorite song of Berryz! But for some reason, some of the girls sounded manly? Maybe I'm just too used to the voices in the actual cd =P

2. Ai no Suki Suki Shisuu Joushou Chuu

Yurina's voice sounded kind of different than usual. It was better!

Seems like Berryz's budget is limited as well... It's like what ºC-ute had for their last concert.. Sad =(

3. Sayonara Hageshiki Koi

I really liked this performance... I don't know why though...

(3.5 VTR - Everyone looked pretty in this vid! =D Never knew Risako was blood type A )

4. HAPPY! Stand Up

Good song... but what's with the guns? And was this the same concert hall as the one on Buono's Hybrid Punch DVD?

hahahahahahahaha~! ghost busters!! Awesome song.

5. Gag 100kaibun Aishite Kudasai (Acapella)

First it was ºC-ute's tap-dancing, and now Berryz singing acapella!? I love how ºC-ute and Berryz have been trying out all these different things in their latest concerts!
THIS WAS SOOOO AWESOME!! You know I'm a sucker for harmonies, but this was even better! ACAPELLA!! And and, Risako/Chinami/Maasa beat-boxing!! LOL! AND this song, I've been pretty obsessed with it for a while! SO COOOOL! LOVE!

Woa~! LOVE! haha Love the song, Love acapella, Love Momo (although I liked Miya's soft voice), Love performance X)

Best performance in this concert!!

6. MADAYADE

I just realised that this song really suits Risako's voice. Too bad I don't like this song that much. ♪BIYOON~~

Yea, I agree! Risako sounded great in this one =)

7. Nanchuu Koi wo Yateruu YOU KNOW?

Awww, an old song...

8. Sakura wa Raku Sa (Shimizu Saki, Natsuyaki Miyabi)

I REEEEALLY don't like the intro to this song, so I don't think I've ever listened to the whole thing. After seeing it live, I still don't really like it. Captain and Miyabi were good, but this song is just... uuugh -___- And give Miyabi a solo already! If Maimi gets one in ºC-ute...

hahahaha but Tsunku likes her (Maimi) because she sweats so much - and that's why he gives her a fast tempo solo =P (I think that's what he said in his blog long time ago...) But yes, Miya should have a solo.

9. Sabori (Sugaya Risako)

Risako has really improved, and this was another good song for her.

Risako and Ai-chan (MM) should not pull their bangs up.. it doesn't suit them.. in my opinion...

10. Joshi Basket bu ~Asaren Atta Hi no Kamigata~
(Tokunaga Chinami & Sudou Maasa. Tsugunaga Momoko & Kumai Yurina as back-up dancers)

This was actually really cute! I like Maasa and Chinami when they're together.

Woah, Yurina's first line surprised me! It didn't sound like her at all! It sounded so pretty!! Her singing was actually really consistent in this concert. YAY!

I really liked these black and white costumes, except Risako's... she usually gets stuck with the moo-moo looking outfit for some reason...

Yea~ they have good outfits this time ;)

13. Ah Merry-go-Round

I didn't like this song until I saw it live, and now I really like it! Momoko!! She was really good in this song! Captain too!

Greeaaaat... My most unfavourite single from Berryz! Although it sounded kind of better now that they're not all squeaky little girls. I still don't like the 'we welcome this happiness tonight' line though... uuugh

I donno, I don't really like this song that much.

18. Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance

The girls were starting to sound really tired during this song, especially Risako and Miyabi, which is a pity, because it's one of my favourites ;__;

I thought it was really nice when they were all holding hands and singing :)

20. Seishun Bus Guide

Really good performance! Except the first 'wow' at the end of the first chorus sounded kind of funny. I wonder if their arms get really sweaty in those jackets.

Eeeww.. you're right. It's like the same material as ºC-ute's "Bye Bye Bye" which Saki said her pants were sweaty... -_-" haha

21. Rival

I was scared of hearing Risako's high note at the end of this song, but she pulled it off really well! I was pleasantly surprised! ♪GO GO! FIGHT!

22. Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai

I don't think I like this song when they sing it now... It's kind of lost the spirit it had when they were little. It was kind of disappointing and a little manly sounding.

Yea, they sound sooo deep.. But I think I still like this song tho =) I like their outfit. It's different =D But Risako's outfit is a bit... too much frills??

23. Sono Subete no Ai ni

The preview for this came out quite a while ago. This song, BAWWW ;___; Captain! Risako! The flowers!! It was a really good song to end on.

ENDING

During the credits you get to see the girls watching clips from all their previous concerts and laughing. Then at the very end, it's revealed that it was their 100th concert!! Awww!! Congratulations!! ;___;

Overall Impression:
Awww!! I really liked this concert! Well, I always like Berryz concerts because I know all their songs, hahaha. Even though the stage was kind of small and cheap looking and the set-list wasn't my favourite, it was really enjoyable to watch, especially the ACAPELLA! I never thought they'd have the skills to do that! I think Risako and Yurina did really well in this concert. Miyabi is always consistent as well. Overall, another job well done! Can't wait to see them again in the summer ~Hello Chanpuru~ concert! I have to go watch the acapella again now!

Yea, I enjoyed it too! although I didn't know most of the songs... -_-"

The acapella was the BEST!! Didn't see that coming! It was somewhat refreshing =D If I'm allowed to change one thing, I'd change Risako's hair style. hahaha I like her with bangs =P

Aaanyway, yea, I'm soo excited about ~Hello Champloo~ concert as well!!! It's gonna be so awesome getting to know Hello!Project Eggs =D

Banana Review: Berryz Koubou Fan Club Tour in Hawaii '09

I recently watched Berryz Koubou's Fan Club Tour in Hawaii '09!
During the first half, they played some games like guessing Hello!Project songs from just the introduction. There was lots of talking and I didn't understand, so I skipped to their outdoor mini concert! :P
The concert was really simple, just on a small stage in a garden with no lighting. They sang lots of old songs that I haven't heard them sing in a long time, so it was kind of nostalgic, but really enjoyable!

I'll put the set-list here, with a screenshot and just some thoughts on it.

1. Berryz Koubou Koushinkyoku

Not my favourite song, although it's like the Berryz' Anthem. Haha.

2. Koi wa Hipparidako

Whenever I hear this song, it just reminds me of Momoko and Kago Ai's duet way back in the day.

3. Sprinter!
(Shimizu Saki, Natsuyaki Miyabi)

Captain and Miyabi! This was really cute!! And I like this song :)

4. Omoitattara Kichi desse!
(Tokunaga Chinami, Sudou Maasa, Kumai Yurina)

Mmm, not really a fan of these girls' voices, but it was still good.

5. Watashi ga Suru Koto nai Hodo Zenbu Shite Kureru Kare
(Tsugunaga Momoko, Sugaya Risako)

For Momoko, this performance was SO much better than her '08 solo FC event, which was kid of a disaster. It was still kind of pitchy, but such an improvement! I think Risako is much more confident in her singing now too.

6. Passion E-CHA E-CHA

♪HMMM...♪ Awww! This song! It's so old!

7. Anshinkan

8. Sakura→Nyuugakushiki

Oh man! I couldn't help but notice this really creepy wota (the one in pink) that kept following Momo around! D:
He kept walking in front of her and waving frantically! Eeep!

9. Fighting Pose wa Date ja nai!

This song sounds so different when they sing it now! All their voices have changed so much! It's so much deeper sounding now! But I really like this song... I don't know why.

10. Munasawagi Scarlet

I really liked this performance! The dance looks so much better when they're not wearing those puffy pants from the PV! XD

11. Yuujou Junjou oh Seishun

The B-side to my most unfavourite single, which I also don't really like that much! With added wotas throwing used towels!

Banana Translation: ºC-ute 'Yan Yan' Magazine

ºC-ute had an interview with the Yan Yan Magazine.

Here are the translations to anyone whose interested =D  Enjoy.

Translation:
ºC-ute's new single, "Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu" is perfect for this season.
It's a cover song of the 70s three idols group, Candies, which was really popular back then.
From the member, we have interviewed Erika, Maimi and Saki.


Translation:
- Shochumimai... do you even write letters?
Saki: Yes I do! I exchange it with the members. But I give them by hand, instead of going to the post office.
- If you're seeing them by person... why not tell them?
Saki: Everyone likes drawings, so, we have fun drawing pictures with words maybe?
Maimi: Plus, we can't really talk a lot when we are working... so yea. Nowadays, there are lots of cute letter papers and envelops so I get satisfied just by collecting them. lol. I even send letters to the members or a friend which I don't see often like things I might forget if I don't write it down.
Erika: I don't really write. Even if get letters from the members, I don't reply to them lol. So I just reply in person. In primary school, when I was in ZYX, writing letters was popular back then, so I used to collect then by putting them in to tins. I wonder what we used to write about? haha
S: Even today, I wrote to Maimi-chan. I wrote something like "let's do our best". She wrote me a letter when we had our spring tour, so it's such a late reply, but I'm in to making plushies right now, so I gave it to her along with the letter. haha

- That sounds fun. Your new song was a cover song which was sung by the famous 70s idol, Candies, but for you as the top idol today, what was your impression about the song?

S: The song and the dances are really cute! It's full of cuteness.

E: When I've watched their videos, they were dancing modestly. It was like their own style, but for us ºC-ute, I think we've danced it with more energy.

M: Probably because we are younger than them. But we've tried to act cute like them. 

S: I've showed all the cuteness in me for this one. haha

- Is that shown when you say ♪Uhu~~~n ?

M: It was harder than I thought it would be. At first, I couldn't show the cuteness.

E: We had to re-take a lot of times.

S: Personally, I've tried to sing cute right from the beginning. But the director was like "More". And I was like "What? I thought I was doing my best!?". At that time, I thought I had to challenge myself more. So I've tried so hard to act cute, like seriously. haha

E: The first time when I did the ♪Aha~~n part, they've told me it wasn't girly at all. lol. They told me to act more cuter, and by the time they were satisfied with it, it was like my 8th time. lol. Towards the end, I was like "Isn't this good enough!?" haha

S: The key tone is pretty high. Where we sing "Kotoshi no Natsu wa~" it's sooo high. haha

M: When we sing the beginning part, "Shochuu omimai~" we had to use both our normal voice and our falsetto. And we had to harmonize too. 

E: It was something we couldn't sing with our normal voice. But I've tried not to use my falsetto.

- In the lyrics, there is this phrase "you can not show yourself wearing bathers to any other guy" as if a boyfriend would say.

S: It sounds youthful. lol. The girl in this song is so cute keeping the promise.

E: If I were the guy, and if I were taking my girlfriend to the beach with other mates, than I might say the same thing. lol.

S: Feeling jealously. haha

- Is there any other oldies song which you might want to cover?

E: I've sung a song with Kumai Yurina from Berryz Koubou once in a tv show, and we sang "Nagisa no Haikara Ningyo". I always wanted to sing a cover song within ºC-ute.

M: That was really cute.

S: I want to sing a cute cover song as well. Something summery!

M: I have Moritaka Chisato's album and I would like to sing that within ºC-ute because it has a lot of cute songs.

- This magazine will be published during summer holidays. Is there any bad experience about summer?

S: When I was in primary school, my mom took me to a theme park and I had lots of fun, but I had heaps of homework to do after that. haha I've finished it within 2 days, but it was tough. My hands were shaking. lol.

E: I'm not good with hotness, and there was this time when I was sleeping with less clothing and I hurt my throat.

M: When I was young, I went to the playground and went on a slide. But the slide was so hot from the heat and I almost got burnt. haha 

Few Years back, my parents took me to this theme park somewhere in the mountain. It took us few hours to get there, and when we finally got there, it started raining. lol. We've waited for about 2 hours for it to stop raining, but it didn't. But on the way home in the car, it stopped raining. lol.

- What would be your ideal "best day in summer"?

E: Festival! I want to eat around and do kingyo-sukui. 

S: Yea~ sounds nice.

E: And at the end, I'd do fireworks with my friends and eat Kakigo-ri. 

At the shop where they sell lollies, you get two if you buy one and win rock-paper-scissors with the seller. I've never lost. But I can never get to finish eating it so I give it to my friend. haha I want to win this year too!

S: I would like to go to the festival too. I want to wear Yukata, go around shops with friends, watch the fireworks, and at night I'd want to stay the night at my friend's house. And chat a lot! haha I can't stop talking about these stuff.

M: I would want to go visit my grandmother's house. It's surrounded by nature. The beach is close by too, so we used to eat squid and scallop outside. I'd like to do that again.

E: I want to do BBQ. I love when we go country side for a tour (concert). Eat lollies in the bullet-train and chat a lot. lol. And sleep. lol

S: Me too. But I always sleep after everyone else sleeps. And I wake up the first so everyone thinks that I don't sleep. I always get woken up by announcements. lol

E: Maimi is always reading books.

M: I love reading books. Even now, I have a book I've borrowed from Erika. 

At night, I sleep early. I love sleeping.

S: Chisato sleeps early too. When we talk at night, and she suddenly stops talking. That's when I know when she's fallen alseep. haha

- In this summer and autumn, you have a concert tour coming soon. I believe all the fans are looking forward to it.

M: This time we will be going to many places. I think there will be a lot of first-timers, so we are excited as well.

Another rainbow road!?
But I do like their stage set-up with the toy room feel. Cute!

It's cute alright, but it feels/looks like they had such a small budget... and the stage is incredibly small too... as a fan, it's pretty sad... -_-"

01. ★Akogare My STAR★

I kinda like their outfit! (although I wouldn't wear it. lol) It's different to what they (H!P members) usually wear, like mini skirt and mini top. It's refreshing =)

02. FOREVER LOVE

Airi's sounding so manly these days... She's turning into Maimi! D:
They almost looked like twins here!

I agree with Banana A... Airi's sounding so manly in this one especially... =(

I always love looking at these VTRs. This one was so cute, and I actually believe this was the first time they've played a whole song (with the singing) in their VTRs. Nice.

03. Bye Bye Bye!

Their costumes were very 3, 2, 1 BREAKIN, OUT!-looking. I want their sneakers!
Chisato's outfit and hair-style weren't very flattering. Her outfit made her look short and frumpy, and pigtails like that make your head look fatter too.

Haha, it is so 3,2,1 looking! haha But it's not as nice.... I kinda feel sorry for Chissa lol (Banana A is right. What's with her hairstyle!?)

Airi and Nakky's one were the best =D yay!

Whenever they show maimai's back, it juuuuust subconsciously reminds me of Kanna..

*Shock* What was that!? Did everyone just shout Kanna's line? I was so curious about whose gonna take over Kanna's line, but... no! it doesn't sound right! I want Kanna back..

Overall Impression:
I think I enjoyed this concert? Although for the most part, i focused my attention things other than the girls singing... I don't think that's a good thing. I did however, think that Nakajima Saki's singing has improved! But this concert... I don't know, there's been better.

I really enjoyed it as well X) But IT JUST DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT... *sigh* I know some wotas shut off their love to ºC-ute because Kanna left... T-T I still do like them, but... but..... but........ *fades* Aaanyway, although their tap dancing was so freakingly awesome, I don't believe it was their best concert... I hope they are okay.. O_o
