How heartwarming was that!! X)
Maimi lost her voice from her illness, and wotas were kind enough to sing her lines for her!
ºC-ute has the best fans ever =D
(although it's been said that ºC-ute's concerts has the most troublesome fans where they have big fights, and big enough for the police to get involved.. lol and it's not just one time, there's been a couple of them too.. -_-")

Although the agency, 'ILLUME model' isn't that well-known in Japan, the models that are signed up in this agency has been into pretty popular magazines. For example, 'CanCam', 'Ray', 'JJ', 'More', 'With', 'non-no', etc.

So hopefully we'll see more Ume-san soon in these magazines!

I'm totally with B.A for Buono! being in the top 5 X) They are the BEST.
But unlike B.A, Airi would be my frist, and Nacky's my second because I'm more of a ºC-ute wota, therefore, ºC-ute > Berryz lol
I was always into Risako for some reason (I don't know what makes me attracted to her... but..) so she's my 4th favourite =)
I love Miya too, but I've been liking Risako for a longer period of time, so she comes before her =P

6-10 (BEST SINGERS)
Not so much now, but I used to really like Ai-chan, for her amazing singing and performance on stage. I was going to place her in a lower position (since I'm kinda getting sick of seeing her sing every single line), but I still can't forget how awesome she was, and maybe there's something in me, still hoping to see more from her. I dunno..
Kame, Chissa, Kanon and perhaps Maimai were chosen in the top 10, because of their awesome singing voices X)

11- 15 (UNIQUE CHARACTERS)
These members are 'interesting' =D They all have their unique personalities and singing styles which makes them stand out X)

16-20
I guess these members.... I don't know much about them yet?? I know Captain's awesome, so she comes first, but the others, I didn't really get the chance to know more about them... (maybe I should study more... lol)

21-25
Linlin, has a very unique voice where I still can't handle.. -_-" and Junjun and Mitsui (urgh) can't sing, and Chinami's mean to Momo as B.A said, and Vegetable is just Vegetable. I totally agree there lol.






As most you might already know,

I'm pretty excited to finally be able to participate in one of these!
I really wanted to do it last year, but we didn't have a blog back then, so I didn't.

For those of you who don't know, this is probably the most popular H!P poll amongst bloggers. It comes out annually with swish flash graphics and a prize draw too! It's totally neat!

Well of course I have to put all three Buono! members first, because they're what initially drew me to Hello!Project, with a little help from B.B. XD
Momo will always be reining in first then Miya and Airi. Miya is in front of Airi because I'm a Berryz whore, therefore Berryz > ºC-ute. Lolz.
Risako has actually impressed me a lot in concerts recently, she's been quite consistent and I do like her voice now. Captain rounds out the top 5, because she's just cool.

6-10
Ogawa Saki and Fukuda Kanon from S/mileage! I think they both cut their hair recently! D: I like this duo, they seem to be really good friends, and they both sing well! YAY!
Chisa, Maasa and Nacky. Three overlooked members from their respective groups. I always like the underdogs!

11-15
The five middle band members - The rest of S/mileage, the rest of ºC-ute and the giant of Berryz.
All of these members are competent in their singing, but I don't really like any of their voices that much (with the exception of MaiMai and maybe Yuuka)... I have nothing that bad to say about them either, so they go here!

16-20
All morning musume members!!
Well, morning musume has the longest history within H!P, but I've known them for the shortest amount of time. I don't know what it is about them, but I'm just not as drawn to them as the other groups. Reh, I'm just an H!P kids fangirl.

21-25
The bottom five. Dun dun dun...
Michishige can't sing. JunJun is also pretty bad at singing. Chinami can't sing and she's a biatch to Momo. Mano can't sing and is a vegetable. Mitsui... guh.




I guess after all my member rankings, my group ranking order would be pretty obvious.
Buono! is TOP! Because they are so unbelievably talented and continue to impress me to no end!
Berryz are totally rocking and consist of my two favourite Buono! members, lol.
ºC-ute has H!P kids in it! And have had some good songs. It has Airi too.
S/mileage are pretty cool.
Morning Musume are okay.
Guardians4, although lead by Mitsui are slightly salvaged because it has Risako, Nacky and Kumai-chan in it.
Mano vegetable is a vegetable.

Woah, this was way less interesting to write about then I thought. LOL!

Banana Music Review: Berryz Koubou '6th Otakebi Album' Review

Time for something new!!
Just downloaded Berryz Koubou's new album '6th Otakebi Album' yesterday and have been listening to it, maybe non-stop! LOL!
So now I've decided to list my first impressions of it!


(Regular : Limited)

Have I talked about on this blog how I hate these covers? Well, maybe not hate... I just think they're really ugly. The colours, the styling... The positioning of almost everything feels really awkward and off, and what's with that freaking rainbow gradient type? guuuh. Whoever designs or gives the OK for all these album covers really needs to wash their eyes or freshen up their brains. LOL, i don't know...
Awkward facial awards go to Miya and Maasa. Donno what it is about Miya in this styling, but it makes her head look really weird and extra long? Is it that insanely gigantic bow? Maasa doesn't look too impressed on the regular, and is staring stright into the camera with her mouth wide open on the limited, which is not an entirely flattering look.

On the other hand, Captiain, Chinami and Risako are looking good!

Anyways, on to the music!

01. Otakebi Boy WAO!
The first time I heard this song, all I could say about it was 'MANLY', 'OMG SO MANLY', but now that I've listened to it quite a few times, it's actually really REALLY catchy and the dance is so silly and Berryz-like.
O-WAO WAO!

02. Rival
The PV is what made me like this song. I LOVED their styling in this PV, the outfits were SO DAMN CUTE! And all the card-board props were SO COOL!! I wanted to get me some cardboard instruments!
It's a real complete change of pace after Otakebi Boy WAO! though... so light and fluffy after such a manly song.

03. Ryuusei Boy
1, 2, 3, GO!
Whenever I hear this song and Otakebi Boy WAO! now all I see in my brain is cheezy green-screen PVs and funny dances. The 'Ryuusei Boy' move and 'O-WAO WAO' move are so LOL. Nevertheless, it's totally catchy!

04. Ai ni wa Ai desho (Tsugunaga Momoko, Natsuyaki Miyabi)

To tell you the truth I was expecting (or maybe wanted) a much slower, ballad-y song from these two. I think I was a little disappointed since I had high hopes for this song to blow me away. I guess I can see them having fun with this in concert though!
It's not in any sense a bad song, in fact it's good. But only good.

05. Seishun Bus Guide
Wow, this song sounds like it was from so long ago now...
It's cool, eeh... nothing interesting to say about it!

06. Kimi no Tomodachi

Definitely MY FAVOURITE song on the album. I'm totally in love with it!! I loved it when I heard the first radio rip of it.
The bass beat is really soothing and everyone gets solo lines. LOVE Momoko's lines, Miya and Risako are awesome too! LOVE the change into the up-beat chorus!
Although that Risako monologue bit was a tad random.

07. Ground demo rouka demo medatsu kimi (Sudou Maasa, Kumai Yurina)

THE SONG SOO REMINDS ME OF TORADORA!
What song was it? 'Orange' by Rie Kugimiya
I really liked that song, so it's okay! LOL! Although when Kumai-chan started singing... ehh, I'm not really a fan of her nose-blocked voice. But I like this song! It's really catchy!! Maasa's verse wins!

08. Tomodachi wa Tomodachi nan da!
I really like this song right now! Although I just read B.B's lyrics translations and it seems really odd to be singing that kind of thing so happily? I donno, I thought it was meant to be a song about everlasting friendship, not... go be with your boyfriend because he's more important than me. LOL!

09. Kibou no Yoru

And here we have the obligatory slow ballad track of the album. It's nice, a standard Berryz ballad.

10. Dakishimete Dakishimete
WOW, now THIS is an old song! I remember making fun of this song to B.B because she really liked it, and I was kind of indifferent to it. It only stuck in my brain because of the annoying 'woo!'s at the start. I wondered if it was Tsuku♂ singing it. LOL!

11. Yakimochi wo Kudasai! (Shimizu Saki, Tokunaga Chinami, Sugaya Risako)

Our last new song of the album! I like it's really catchy. (Yeah, I really should learn an alternative word for catchy.) I like the chorus with the high-pitched bits!

12. Watashi no Mirai no Danna-sama
A strange place to end it, but whatever it's Berryz! The weird mismatched ones!
Love this song!


Overall Impression:
I really like this album! All the singles on it are really strong, I didn't realise Berryz had been releasing so many consistently good singles recently. I would have liked to hear a few more new songs from them though...
I love 'Kimi no Tomodachi' and surprisingly liked Maasa/Kumai's song more than Momo/Miya's. Vocal wise, Momo/Miya pwn, but I really think I enjoy Maasa/Kumai's more, or maybe it's because I've heard it so many more times since it's after 'Kimi no Tomodachi' which I continuously click on to play.

Banana Translation: Berryz Koubou 'Memew' Magazine

Magazine Translation Time!

This time, it's B.A.'s favourite Berryz =)

NATSUYAKI MIYABI

1 - Recently, I've changed my hair color. I love changing how I look, and I'm always looking forward to see how everyone reacts. This time, I've made it darker, so I look more adult-ish. I'm now, used to styling my hair, and used to use hair-extensions, so I love rearranging them, but some fans don't understand what extensions mean, and they'd ask questions like, "do you take them off when you go to bed?". And I'd explain, "No, it's braided in with my hair". I wish this helps to those of you (readers) who wanted to know. lol

2 - Berryz Koubou will be having a Live in Thailand on the 27th of March. We've never had a Live in Thailand yet, so I'm looking forward to see how it's gonna be. And it's been confirmed that we will be having a Tour too. I would like all our fans to look forward to it!

KUMAI YURINA

1 - For our Concert Promotion, Captain, Chinami and myself went to Thailand. We've worn their traditional costumes, and ate Thai food for the first time. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to eat Thai food. I actually couldn't handle 'Tom Yum Goong' because of the unique taste. But I loved their curry so much that I would want to eat them again when we go their for the actual concert.

2 - On the 3rd of March, we will be releasing our new single. "Otakebi Boy WAO!" is very unique, but the dance is so easy to imitate, so I would like everyone to learn, and "Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda" really fits in with this graduation season, and would like everyone to know the importance of a friend!

SUGAYA RISAKO

1 - I will be graduating Middle School soon. My school consists both Primary and Middle school, so I've never experienced having to make new friends. I have few friends who's been my classmate the whole 9 years. We were always together, and soon we'll be apart when we graduate. I never thought about losing ourselves, and it's really sad, but we could catch up whenever we want, and I somehow knew that this day would come. Oh well. lol. But I will definitely cry on my graduation. I can get really teary sometimes. When I've watched the movie called "Boku no Seishun wo Kimi ni Sasagu", I've cried in 2 minutes from the start. lol.

2 - On the 3rd of March, double A-sided single, "Otakebi Boy WAO!/Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda" will be released. I'm so happy to release it on the day of our debut. Please listen to it!

SHIMIZU SAKI

1 - I will be graduating High School. Only few days left of wearing a uniform. If you think about it that way, I feel like wearing it all the time. lol. Because I don't want people to say, "cosplay". lol. So recently, I've been enjoying wearing uniforms. And my school life too. Because you know, you can only go through High school once in a life time. So, I'm enjoying being a High School Girl! But it's really sad to graduate. You know, Risako's just getting ready to enter High School! Oh well, I guess I'll be having more time for myself, so I'll be focusing on my work and do my best!

2 - On the 3rd of March, for our 6th Year's Anniversary, we will be releasing our 22nd single, "Otakebi Boy WAO!/Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda". Again, it's a double A-sided, and their both different types of music, so hopefully people will enjoy them both. And it's been confirmed that we will be having our Concert Tour, so we are going to do our best and look forward to it!

1 - Umm~... On the 6th of March, I will be turning 18 (so depressed! lol) It's not that I don't want to be 18, because honestly, I do want to go eat dinner and be part of the conversation with the adults. So, I want to be 20 soon, but I just don't want to age.... But there's no way to avoid that. lol. I will also be graduating from High School, so I would like to take this chance to say thank you to those who took care of me, and those involved. I also want to learn how to talk like an adult, learn adult's manners, and how to deal like an adult! lol

2 - On the 31st of March, our 6th album "Otakebi ALBUM" will be releasing. My favourite song from the album is, "Kimi no Tomodachi". At first, I thought it was a good song, what a wonderful song, but then during the instrumental bit, it's soo Berryz Koubou!, so please look forward to it!

TOKUNAGA CHINAMI

1 - Recently, I've been caring more about food for my health. When you go to studio's for work, most of the time it's obento, so when I get home, I try to eat more vegetables. When I was younger, I didn't really care much, but now, I'm trying to take care of my body more.

2 - Berry Koubou will be facing our 6th Year Anniversary on the 3rd of March. And will be releasing our album on the 31st of March. I usually feel that I've grown up when I look back at old magazines, but I feel more grown when I listen to albums since it we don't have them that often. There are a lot of varieties in this album, so I would like everyone to enjoy it, and feel how we've grown up!

SUDOU MAASA

1 - I love bread, and usually I get attracted by the yummy smell and end up in a bakery. I sometimes do buy, or don't buy, but I'm into going to different bakeries at the moment. I would like to bake a bread myself. I think it's pretty hard, but since I've been appealing so much about it, I thought I should learn how to make it soon. lol.

I've acted as the main role in the movie called, "Light Novel no Tanoshii Kaki Kata". I'm still an amateur in acting, but the storyline is very interesting, so I would like everyone to watch it.

2 - Berryz Koubou's new single will be releasing on the 3rd of March, right on the day of our debut. "Otakebi Boy WAO!" is an ending song for the anime called, "Inazuma Eleven" and the song really suits the anime, and "Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda" really tells you the importance of a friend in life, so I would like everyone to enjoy listening to it!

ºC-ute's getting a New Member!?!?

SHOCKING news everyone...

Apparently, our Hello!Project producer, Tsunku, is "considering" getting a new member for ºC-ute!?

I don't know if everyone knows about it already, but Tsunku has a Twitter account.
(here's the LINK)
As you can see from his page, he states,

"ºC-ute... add a new member? What should I do?"

!?!?!?!?
WHAT SHOULD I DO!?!?!?

hold on, did he say..... WHAT SHOULD I DO!?!?!? lol

Obviously, well from MY point-of-view, he wouldn't say such thing if he isn't really thinking and considering about it. Because if it's really off the topic, he wouldn't mention it in the first place and even if he's still not sure about it himself, he wouldn't carelessly post anything about it where all his (H!P) fans can see (-because really, some fans will take this seriously..)

Maybe I'm thinking waaaay too much, but I guess, all I can say at the moment, is that.... it's on his mind.... haha, and that's a scary thought..

But to tell you the truth, I can kinda see where he's coming from..

Reason 1 - both their Single/Album CDs and Single V DVDs are not selling well
Reason 2 - has lost 3 members in the past 4 years
Reason 3 - their last Single "Shock!"'s mainly Airi tactics didn't work (some wotas lost interest in them)
Reason 4 - while putting too much effort on S/milage, ºC-ute is gradually losing their wotas.. -_-"
Reason 5 - they haven't had a HIT single/song in sooo long..

yea, they're kinda in a serious stage where they'll have think about "innovation".

Maybe it's not really a bad idea to get a new member and start fresh...
